The mission of Kerry Keegan Consulting is to provide families with guidance and honest feedback on how to expertly navigate the exciting and challenging college admission process.
Students will be given step by step instructions on how to choose schools that are a great fit academically, socially, and financially. We use a no-nonsense approach to the college admissions process that is action based.
Meet Kerry Keegan
Founder, Kerry Keegan has had over 30 years of experience in both college admissions and college counseling at a preeminent college preparatory school in Tampa, Florida. She is a current member of the National Association of College Admissions Counselors (NACAC), the Association for College Counselors in Independent Schools (ACCIS), the Southern Association of College Admissions Counselors (SACAC), and the Bay Area Association of Independent Schools (BAIS).
Kerry’s vast knowledge of colleges and universities across the country, her network of collegial relationships with admissions professionals, and her years of experience of working with students of all academic abilities and interests make her uniquely positioned to create a plan of action tailored to the individual student.
Kerry Keegan Consulting firmly believes that if you attend a private, college preparatory school, you already have access to expert college counseling and resources and the services that we provide would be redundant. We are best equipped to assist students who are enrolled in public schools or who are home-schooled with limited access to college counseling services.

Consulting Options
Sophomore, Junior, and Senior Years
Includes: one-on-one counseling with student and parents, guidance and tools for choosing colleges, advice on how to have a productive college visit, strategy for standardized testing, general advice on the financial aid and scholarship process, brainstorm session on writing the college essay and subsequent essay critique, tips for creating the activity resume.
Students will participate in exercises that will help them reflect on what types of schools will be the best fit. Students will be counseled on how to pursue interests and passions that will make them stand out in the college process.
This is the most comprehensive package that will kick off in the spring of the sophomore year and conclude once the student commits to his/her school of choice.
Junior, and Senior Years
Includes: one-on-one counseling with student and parents, guidance and tools for choosing colleges, advice on how to have a productive college visit, strategy for standardized testing, general advice on the financial aid and scholarship process, brainstorm session on writing the college essay and subsequent essay critique, tips for creating the activity resume.
Students will be provided with a candid review of their record assessing his/her chances of admission at schools of choice.
Senior Year
Includes: one-on-one counseling with students and parents, advice on the college application process, general advice on what schools would be a great fit, general advice on the financial aid and scholarship process, essay brainstorming and critique.The timeline on this package is shorter and faster due to application and financial aid deadlines.
Students will be provided with a candid review of their record assessing his/her chances of admission at schools of choice.
